C100 Footage...

I am messing with C100 footage on my Vegas 11 and man its slow! Scrolling through the timeline the preview unbearable. Is it better for Vegas 12 or 13? Because of my specs shown below, I cant believe my pc is too slow to deal with the footage.

My Specs:
SSD HD
I7 3930k
32GB DDR3
radeon r290

All I can think of is to make sure your project settings match your source footage.
If that doesn't help, try the trial version of Pro 13 and see if it's any better.

I've had no issues with c100 in Vegas 12.

In Vegas 11, timeline scrubbing is not as good, but I didn't find it unusable. In 12, at best(full) I can scrub a clip back and forth relatively fast with no dropped frames (no processing elipses appear in the preview pane). However, in 11, I can scrub one way, but if I reverse direction suddenly, it'll get a bit choppy.

General playback seems identical on both to me. I can also do multitrack and still be at best(full) at full framerate.

My specs aren't as beefy as yours

Intel i7 980x
24GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti (But I have GPU disabled in Vegas)
SSD (OS, my footage resides on a standard, internal 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive)

And also no difference in performance on:

Intel i7 3610QM
12GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 670M (GPU disabled in Vegas)

Do you have any third party/external codec packs installed? Maybe something is screwing with your MPEG codecs?

It might be a codec issue, a year ago I downloaded a 3rd party pack for a project. what action would you recommend me taking to make sure all codecs are good?

Codec packs can overwrite the good codecs that ship with Vegas. Uninstall the codec pack and reinstall Vegas. That will hopefully put things back to where they're supposed to be.

Well I uninstalled the codec packs then installed sony vegas 13 for the first time and in vegas 13 again the c100 is slow. What I mean is i hit play it will play on the timeline smoothly, it just takes 5 seconds before it starts sometimes and scrubbing though it is very skippy and laggy.
