C.A.L.M act takes effect Dec. 13

For those that haven't heard about this, this link is to the FCC website; http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/loud-commercials

I have been making commercials for a while, and though I don't make the audio of my productions go off the meter, it irritates me that there are a lot of ads that do. -Intentionally!

So this was bound to happen.

I solved this problem years ago... never watch broadcast TV unless I'm in a hotel and the internet access is down, or the porn sites are blocked...

Watching TV, LOL. And not just on the same channel. Switching channels, I find the levels not equal too.

Yep Doc, we've just toured the US southern states and again wondered at the differing audio levels of the TV networks, not the programs but the overall station levels. I would have thought that should be corrected and evened out, then this C.A.L.M Act might be more effective.

Cheers.

Anyone notice any calm effect yet or is it too early, and why do the network audio levels vary. I noticed Fox and CNN were about 5dB apart.

Cheers.
