Buzzing problem w/ Sennheiser G3 + Roland R-44

Shooting a feature film, had a scene yesterday, an INT garage w/ 4 actors.

3 were lav'd, + a boom.

Just got the Sennheisers the day before we had this shoot, and they were flawless until the last third of the night of shooting, when a mysterious loud buzzing appeared in channel 3 from one of our Sennheiser lavs. The buzzing disappeared when unplugging the receiver, but reappeared when plugging back in.

The lavs were set to Bank 1, Ch1/Ch2/Ch3
I'm in an area with very little radio interference. Our 3 receivers were very close to each other, strapped to our sound man.

To me it sounds like a loose cable, but we checked everything & nothing was loose. Does anybody know what's causing this?

Sounds like a mobile phone / tablet pc to me.
Devices need to be turned OFF not just put into silent.

Idearly every location on every shoot you should do a frequency scan (senni's are very easy to do) and NEVER assume that just picking a block and then f1, f2, & f3 will be ok they may not.

Almost sounds like acoustical borne noise, it's difficult to ID.
How much dynamic range between that and the track's dialog level.
If room tone is normalized to way above it's normal level, it very objectionable.
