Buzz heard also in playback

i am starting a new tread following the posting in 'Noisy headphone circuit normal?' hoping to have some feedback :'(

i am using the AT835b shotgun. i hear a buzz more than a hiss. i a using 25p. first i heard the buzz on headphones but it is also heard in playback (when dumped to DVD). do u suggest any way inorder to avoid picking this buzz. a friend of mine suggested using a gate/condenser. but since this buzz is actually from the headphones/camcorder not from the mic (external sound) and hence it is not ambient the issue will not be solved by doing so. am i reight? it could also be that the mic is not being earthed (internally). any ideas? What do you guys use? does anyone use gates or compressors? do u all use mixers? is this issue tackled through a mixer?

I sometimes notice a slight buzz when I use my Lectrosonics wireless. I have the receiver strapped to the DVRig Pro and I can sometimes hear a buzz in the audio. I have not been able to pin point exactly whats causing the buzz.

I have the AT835B. I use to hear this buzzing or some kind of interference during my shoots and sometimes I'll hear it when i'm editing. I couldn't figure out exactly where it's coming from but it comes and goes. Is there an audio master here on DVX that will know the exact problem? I don't want to keep guessing.

Just a thought. Make sure the MIC POWER +48V for whatever input you are using is set to off if your mic is battery powered.

Another tought..

Is your mic attached to the DVX with the built-in holder.. if so you might be picking up the focus motor ( if using autofocus).

Make sure you don't have any power cords (not the Heavy Metal kind ;) overlapping on top of your XLR cables -- simple mistake that produces buzz.

For me, there is a distinct buzz not loud but noticeable. I use battery power from the receiver to the camera with only one XLR cable used.
