So HP is having a deal where you can get 500 off a laptop, this is what i configured and it came out to 1848 after savings and taxes. Just wondering if it is a good price, and also if it would handle HD content from my hpx170's fairly well. Thanks for any advice i get.

I recently bought the Asus g-74 at Bestbuy for 1,400. and it kicks ass. It;s 3d ready, usb3.o two harddrives, 16 gig of ram (8 stock) blue ray burner, new I7 quadcore, 17" screen. the list goes on. I love it. It destroys my Imac 27". Plus it plays well with adobe 5.5

How did you customize that ASUS at bestbuy to get 16gb? I haven't seen where you customize or did you order the ram by itself.

Does anyone know of a better place to order and customize a laptop?
