Buying Micro35; what lense?

I'm going to buy the pro bundle micro 35 adapter and was pretty set on the Nikon lense adapter but am willing to change if there is better. What would be the suggested one for a film shoot? I can only afford one at the moment so one with the most potential would be preferred. Thanks.

Well, Nikon mount is what I use, and I would say it's probably the best deal: cheap, and good quality. there's a lot of good deals on NIkon lenses on ebay. I'm more than satisfied with the results so far. If I had the money, I would of course go with PL mount, but renting Cine lenses for every shoot is out of reach...

What Cine lenses would you suggest. I would like to look into the renting prices. Also, do you have any posted footage? I would love to look at some.

well... i want to get two lenses, one Nikon under three hundred, and then i could probably afford a couple grand for another.

Sweet, i think i'll just go with the Nikon, i didn't realise you could spend like 50,000 dollars on a lens...

I have the M2 on the HVX and one sure thing you'll need is the fastest lens you can afford! The M2 eats the light. And coupled with the HVX... yikes!

I have the Nikon mount. I'm currently using a Tokina 28-70 f2.6 and it's just not fast enough. So I'm bidding on few 55mm f1.2 lenses on eBay. They go anywhere from $190 - $399+. Average seems to be around $250 or so. A zoom f1.2 would be crazy expensive. I just saw a Nikon 58mm f1.2 go as high as $900 and still didn't meet the Reserve.

Ok... pardon my inexperience and ignorance, but can somebody explain to me exactly how the mm differences will affect it as well as "f"? I assume the lower the f the better?
