Buying a new computer

[Chamber005]

Basically need something that works well with CS4 and can handle HD footage filmed at 24mbps.

I'm looking at the first three listed:

E9300z

HPE - 110t

HPE - 150t

Would any one of these suffice?

Thanks!

These guys build some amazing machines at all price ranges. Buy man has bought two from them and they are just a quality company and stand behind their work.

All the computers I'm seeing are like 2 and 3 times the price of the ones I listed...

I've heard real good things about Rain Recording's workstations. Their primary focus is music recording and audio editing but they are also well suited for video. And one of the best things about them is they're silenced so no fan and HD noise in the edit suite. I don't have any direct experience with them but they've been well reviewed in Sound on Sound.

This is the off-the-shelf HP that I use...

I did add 2 GB of memory to it. I can edit AVCHD quite reasonably, though a more powerful machine would be nice.

This is what you are looking for, with all maxed options, of course:

Your link contained a bunch of virus-ridden slow computers running some ancient OS, not sure what's up with that

I bought a Killer Classic gaming computer from www.gamingpc.net for around $1200 bucks... it was a great buy! I can now manage my video production and my gaming from teh same computer. if you have the budget its good to do, definitely better than digitalstormonline
