Hey guys,
After my external WD HD died on me this morning i've been researching all day for a robust alternative to backup my projects and in general use heavily for video and misc large data.
From what I've read it seems G-TECH offer some really good solutions. Problem is that I don't know which one of their products I should invest it.
My situation:
- Required: A drive that can last longer then a year before dieing and can handle heavy daily use of files being swapped back and forth.
- Can support fire wire and ideally 800 (For when I get it)
- Ideally: extra redundancy? Raid array? I don't exactly what the difference is between some of these features on these drives.
Looking for some insight and any stories regarding people that have used/own a G-TECH HD.
Thanks in advance!
