Business Plan for Directors?

I'm starting to put together a business plan as a starting freelance feature film director in the direct-to-video market but I'm having a difficult time finding statistics.

I was hoping someone here might know of a resource on the web that shows the past 3-5 years of growth for the theatrical film/direct-to-video industry.

I guess I'm looking for:

1. How many x-billions of dollars has the industry made over the past 3-5 years, and

2. How many theatrical films or direct-to-video films have been made over the past 3-5 years.

Any help you can give would be great! Thanks! ^^

After weeks of searching I finally found what I was looking for.

In case any other directors are thinking about putting together a business plan here's some good marketing data I found:

Some other things you might want to google: Kagan Media Apprasials, Inc. and a book they wrote "Business of Movie Production & Distribution".
