Burning to DVD difficulties

I recently exported my project using the adobe media encoder. The extension I used was mpeg2-dvd with pcm audio, and multiplexer at dvd (the 1st time) and none the second.

So now I have 3 different mpegs, one only audio, one only video, and the third has both.

Now I am trying to get the project on DVD using either roxio or nero.

Roxio problem: With roxio it reads only the individual audio file and not the individual video file. It does read the file with both audio and video but it does not allow me to use the file saying with an error: data of this type not supported. I have no idea????

Nero problem: For some reason the only file extensions allowed by nero are .ifo .vob and .bup. What's up here? Is there a way to convert the files?

Also, may it have something to do with the type of audio I exported with (pcm)? Should I have chosen mpeg? What's the difference?

Whatever the best way is to get the DVD read on any dvd player is what I'm willing to do, so any help someone can afford I'll appreciate it very much.

I haven't had much luck using Premiere for DVD authoring or rendering. I export the file as a movie in .AVI uncompressed mode and then use a DVD authoring program to actually build the DVD. When you look at the contents of the DVD you will not see mpeg 2, etc... You will folders which contain compressed and coded files which the DVD player reads.

I have had fairly good results with ULead and DVD-it. I have the Adobe Enchore, but have never got it to work right

The thing you have to watch for however is the settings. While most newer DVD players can play just about anything out there, many people still have older players. I have found that staying with 4000 - 6000 bit range is most acceptable.

Another thing to also keep in minded Duplication DVD's are only about 80% accurate and effective. Which means 8 of 10 DVD's will probably play correctly while the other 2 will not.

The only way to get around that problem is if you plan to distribute a large number and then go with Replication Stamping through a company.

Bump. I am desperate. All I want to do is get my project on DVD. I don't care if it's a sentence or a paragraph, someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
