The question is about Vegas Pro 9 and Dvd burning.

1. While I have Vegas Pro timeline open and I just want to burn the footage that is on the timeline onto the blank DVD without any chapters (so I can quickly show certain people the footage) I go to TOOLS, then go to BURN DISC click on DVD. When the window opens up I pick 16:9 NTSC. I think I have that info right?

2. How much footage could I burn from the timeline? The footage is 59 minutes. A friend of mine thought that there might be a max minutes of footage that I could burn using this setup?

3. For burning speed is the middle the best bet? 1. Ox is min and 24. Ox is max so go with 12. Ox?

4. Could I burn two DVD's one NTSC and one PAL even though the footage is NTSC?

I see you got it figured out, but I can't pass up chiming in on a DVD question. On the NTSC/PAL thing there's still some bad info out there. The vast majority of people in PAL land can play an NTSC DVD with no problem. All computers will, and most TVs will too so there's really no need to make a PAL version. I worked for years at a distributor who sold NTSC DVDs in EU and we didn't have any more returns there than we did here in the US.
Unfortunately the opposite isn't true in that PAL DVDs will almost never playback in NTSC players (except computers which will play either format fine). To make a PAL version you'd have to convert the video first, then encode as PAL, then make a new PAL project. A lot of trouble for no real reward.

I don't use Vegas, so these are "in general" pointers: Burn speed should be left to Automatic or Best if available and let the burner figure it out. Otherwise you'll have to note what speed your burner is and what speed the discs are, then set to that or a little lower to be safe.
The amount of footage that fits is more a factor of how compressed you're comfortable with going rather than strictly the time.
