Burning DVD to fit your screen

So I just edited a wedding and watched it on DVD on the big TV and it's not showing me all of the image. I've had this problem before but never knew what to do and still don't. Is there a certain crop size or aspect ratio I need to set this at? Right now it's at 16:9 at 1280x720

How do you get the footage to fit on a TV screen without cutting anything off?

It's impossible unless you shot it 4x3. You can't create footage that isn't there.
