disjecta

Lucky Duck
After 8 years working at a company as a graphic designer I was let go today. The company is going through some serious financial issues.

Anyone want to hire me? :love4:

Sorry to hear it. I know what it's like to get let go for no fault of your own. But, looking on the positive side, think of all the opportunities open to you now! ;)

Terribly sorry to hear that Disjecta
Best of luck - its only a matter of time before you find something else.

I've been 'let go' twice in my life.
Looking back, both times it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Hang in there.

Sorry about that Stephen, though I think some bigger doors may be awaiting you.

you're always welcome to move out to georgia and be the cameraman for my movie. unfortunately, i don't have any real cash per se....but i can offer you all the dr. pepper and funyuns you can eat.

Damn D

Sorry to hear that; perhaps your calling is right in front of you ? You being of the skilled camera operator magic man variety.

You've got skills that are far beyond most people. This is your opportunity to do anything you want to do.

Sorry to hear that, D. Sounds like me about 13 months ago. Best thing to happen for my health and happiness. If not so much for my pocketbook. Well, not yet, anyway. Go forth and shoot!

Unfortunate to hear that, but 8 years is a good run these days. I have no doubt you'll end up on top with a better job and new challenges. Maybe this is the right time to make a balls-out run at filmmaking. A lot of us think you have what it takes.

D-man! You gotta make a run at being a DP... your stuff really rocks... seek out places like Discovery Channel and such... they need some great wildlife photographers like yourself!

To this I say... Congratulations! You'll look back on this someday as being a key moment in your life that set you on the path of following your dream.

If everything else falls through for you, I need a baby sitter for my 19 month old and my one week old. I can only afford to pay you sweat shop salary though... But, on the bright side I have an unfinished basement that has a dirt floor that you can stay in rent free :)

Best of luck to you man. I'm sure you will be fine.

Later,
Jason
