Bulbs for Britek GY-650 light (Product ID: G-600W)

At Rostronics, it says that the Britek GY-650 light (Product ID: G-600W) can accept 250W, 300W, 500W, 600W, and 650W Bulbs.

I thought I would start a thread where everyone can share any bulbs that they have successfully used in the Britek GY-650 Light.

This DVInfo thread states that "My 600w says it uses G5.3/G6.35 on the back of the light."

Based on this thread's post #15 by Raytracer: "It appears the Ushio DYH [and NOT the Osram DYH] is necessary due to the length of the legs. ... At first they claimed it was supposed to be a GY9.5 base. They then claimed that it wouldn't work unless I used their bulb, so I told them to ship one back with the light, and they proudly charged me $17 for a Ushio DYH"

This 600W/120V Ushio 1000246 (DYH) $11.75 appears to be the bulb they sent Raytracer.

OTHER 120V Bulbs 250W, 360W, 650W

Has anyone tried using this 250W/120V Ushio 1000453 (EYH/FKT) $9.98?

Has anyone tried a 360W/120V EYB bulb such as the Ushio 1000442 (EYB) $5.75?

Has anyone tried a 650W/120V DVY bulb such as the Ushio 1000225 (DVY) $11.50?

Or has anyone tried using this Ushio 1000890 $12.65 (G6.35 base)?

OTHER 220-240V Bulbs

There is very little on successful use of these higher voltage bulbs. The only thing I could find was this DVInfo post: "As far as 220v, the 600/650w will take: JCD 3200k 650w 220v 3.0 amps"

It would be great to have a list of bulbs that do not blow when used with this light, so please post anything you feel will be helpful. Thanks.

Nice effort sred - it'll be good to have this info in one place.

In 240v land the 650w is a DYR (with a gy9.5 base. g300 has a g6.35 base. RS1000 has a r7s base - 117mm)

I'm successfully using a GE 650w DYR, and have an order coming through for Ushios. I won't touch the Osrams after reading raytracers post.

My problem at the moment is finding JPD 1000s in 220-240v. Bulbster stocks them, and will gladly ship them for $40 US. Um, I think I'll keep looking :)
