Built in Dof adapter

Call me crazy, but it seems that these Dof adapters are popular enough with indie filmmakers that it would make sense to release a Camcorder that uses this technology.

It wouldn't be all that difficult to have the focusing screen as part of the package, and having it built in would make for a very sleek package.
I guess it's not what everyone is looking for, but I'm surprised i haven't seen any chatter about it.

Thoughts?

Consensus is that it's not financially viable for big companies to release this type of camera.

Only a company like Red (which focuses on digital cinema applications) would be likely to do what you're asking.

Let's hope so. Bring it on! (save us headaches...)
