Hi guys, I've decided to go serious into my hobby of producing videos for the next few years while I study.
I'm located in Singapore where the photography scene is pretty saturated compared to the videography scene.
But that doesnt mean videographers r highly paid, they are not - I guess it is due to the culture and the lack of awareness and appreciation esp in the area of wedding videos.
I've gathered a bunch of talented young guys (All of us are below 21).
2 Photographers, videographer, an undergrad lawyer, and a design guy.
My direction right now is to hold our first proper meeting right after our website is finished (say 1-2weeks time)
In terms of the service we plan to provide, we intend to go for the niche market of doing Concept-Pre-Wedding Videos (as we prefer shooting in an controled scene) and simple corporate videos to start of with - Correct me if I'm wrong, but the corporate way is where the money lies?
I really need advice out there as I feel that I need to think out of the box and take consideration about whats going on overseas.
What are the essitential subjects and issues I should bring up during the meeting.
Whats a good deck to transfer minidv to my computer? I use the DVX, XL2, XHA1 and XL-H1
Feel free to advice or comment, I plan to update this regularly
Regards
David, Singapore
