:-/ I am tierd out . . . stage 1 of my new editing desk is ready, I am custom building it to fit a particular space in my office but still havent figured out how to get all the cables neatly stacked.

Re: Building my new editing desk!

Get those things that military people use as handcuffs when taking prisoners... you can get smaller versions of them, they're plastic... not sure what they're called... maybe "ties"... hmmm... lol

They should keep your cabling together neatly...

Re: Building my new editing desk!

They're called zip-ties.

Though psuedo handcuffs works too. In a morbid sorta way ;)

Re: Building my new editing desk!

I was more thinking trunking of some type as I have used ties extensivley but pull one cable then they alll follow :(

Re: Building my new editing desk!

That works too, although changing any part of your setup instantly becomes more work...

Re: Building my new editing desk!

the velcros from the link are...ok.. but ive found a much better setup. Its simliar to those but its a whole roll and you just tear off however many pieces you want and they all adjust to any size. I use em for EVERYTHING. theyre like rubber bands but they velcro and can be unrolled. not to mention they dont break

Re: Building my new editing desk!

Yeah -- I shouldn't have posted the link... it was late. I just googled velcro audio ties and came up with that on top. Not like what I was looking for. Thanks for noticing, Avenger.

Re: Building my new editing desk!

I'll be building myself a new editing/computer desk soon, and I'd love it if some of you posted a pic of your workstation. That would really help me generate some ideas. Thanks in advance!
