I am working with a new studio and they have an unused Mac Pro setup with a Kona LHIRO card. It also has a graphics card with a DVI out. I have never used an I/O card like the Kona so I am a little unsure what the flow is. I am assuming that the Kona card simply takes a signal in from a camera or other input, allows the computer to do some conversion, compression, etc and then pass the video signal out. I can't use the outputs on the Kona card for normal computer monitors, right?
My goal is to have 2 monitors to edit with and a TV on the wall. It would be nice to control all 3 from the mac pro but i think i have to get a new graphics card for that to happen.
