Building A New Studio

Ok ive been researching certain products for a while now and trying to decide what I need in my editing room to really get it ready for pretty much anything that might come up. Budget isn't that much of an issue, it'll just increase the wait. I currently work with HD footage and SD so keep that in mind. I do not own an HDTV so viewing anything in full HD isn't really possible right now...might be something to also keep in mind if you care to suggest something. (my output will be SD DVD btw)

Here is what I currently have:
MacPro 2.66ghz, 5GB RAM, X1900XT 512MB
250GB, 120GB, 300GB External
15in JVC Production Monitor 700lines rez (output from Svideo on Mac)
19in CRT 1280x1024

Doesn't seem like much but it took a while to get haha. Basically I know what I need (at least I think so) but I figured those here who have been doing this stuff for a while might lend a fresh outlook on what I should be purchasing.

Here is what I planned to get:
G-Raid2 500GB FW800 (for video only)
500GB Internal (to mirror the Graid on)
Event ALP 5 Speakers

I can't think of much else to get that isn't for EXTRA. I was thinking a larger monitor, 24in LCD but I like my CRT and ide rather get other things first since I have a monitor already.

What else should I be looking into? Do I have good things picked out? I think I do but before I drop down anymore cash I want to get other opinions.

Software I own:
Final Cut Studio 5.1
After Effects 7.0 & CS3
Sorenson Squeeze
Bootcamp w/XP
Adobe Collection for XP

I'm not worried about software or music or sounds. Mostly just physical hardware for the studio.

A bit off topic... but the macpro's have an S-video out?

With your production monitor, does that rid the need of a pro deck, or digital/analog converter?

I'm still on a g5...

I have a DVI to S-Video adapter from Apple hooked to the other part of the ATI. The production monitor has nothing to do with a deck really. Decks I wont even consider because they are way way out of my league for cost. I have a small Optura 50 to read DV and I just use my HD cam for the HD footage for now. The MacPro wont have an Svideo out unless your videocard does or you get a card for specific output...which if I had an HD monitor, I would buy...
