Build your own Portable Console for Audio Recorders / Mixers - $30 DIY - MixPre-D

I also use a Sony PCM-M10 with my SD MixPre-D mixer, but use this 8 inch cable to connect the PCM-M10 to the MixPre-D TAPE OUT, so I can tuck the M10 recorder into the front pocket of a Porta-Brace mixer bag, and still run XLR OUTS to the camera.

Hey Thanks... my cables were cheap ones, and too long. Also, I like the angled connector you suggested. I'll order.

Note: I have a mixer bag for this, and I'll post that soon. I put the whole rig in my bag - the MixPre-D is so small, it would slip to the bottom of my DIY mixer bag.

I'm no pro, but I'm sure seem to be getting some very quiet recordings with this combo.

Yes, SD mixers have a 110+ dB of dynamic range and when combined with Sony PCM-M10 recorder ( using little to no GAIN on the recorder ) the results are extremely good. :love4:
