Build my studio!

I have a huge piece of property that I'm going to be building a video studio on. I need some basic size information to pass on to my architect.

We run 4 cameras, one on a 8' jib. We are shooting a kids program where the 2-4 kids are always seated in the same spot, sort of like an interview setup.

Our current setup involves residental ceilings of 10' which ain't cutting it for my lighting. I know that taller is better, but can you give me some general minimum guidelines? I told the architect the following:

W 35'
L 35'
H 16'

Is the height tall enough for standard / easy lighting?

there is no such thing as standard lighting. As you are finding, it's done with what is available per location.
I flaoting grid is your best friend for ease. It just doesnt get easier than bringing it down, doin yer thang then bringin it back up. Your insurence agent will love it too. Ladders and claims kind of go hand in hand.
