Bugs in Ecore 2.0 using PPRO 1.5???

HI, I just bought the new Encore 2.0, I'm using ppro1.5

I've got a large flic, 2.5 hours.... I exported half of it from ppro 1.5 as a simple .avi file (dv avi) and imported that into encore. Easy.

I auto transcoded it, and no matter what settings I do, VBR 7Bit max or CBR 6bit...etc...etc... 3/12 GOP, the whole shabang...the final dvd is slightly choppy and fast images are ghosty. I've spent hours reading about his same problem on the adobe encore website.

Am I screwed with this new product? I've tried first field down, progress, upper, I even bought a cinematic mpg encoder (which won't do ac3) and that doesn't work.

Also, there is no possible way to export from Adobe media encodermpg2. I know the book says you can "export" and choose mpg2...but no way. There are hundreds of people on the adobe board saying the same thing. You can't export a large file from ppro with the adobe media encoder.

Anyways, I can export the movie file as one .avi file..... also note, when I do that, I play just that avi file from my desk top and the picture is all fluttery.... but when I import that into encore, the picture is just ghosty...... maybe the way I'm exporting it from ppro has something to do with that?

I REALLY GIVE UP.

I wish I could hire somebody to burn this dvd. Anybody live in Redondo Beach, California???

Make a cash offer I can't refuse.

I've got a top of the line system.

footage shot 24pa dvx.

I'm at the end of my rope. Spent 6 days on this already.

:( :( :(

I haven't tried going from PP 1.5 to Encore 2.0 but from PP 2.0 it works fine. If you want, I would be happy to MPEG encode the file (I can check it with a number of different authoring systems that we have, including a high end Scenarist SGI one). I am in OC, so Manhattan Beach isn't too far. PM me if you are interested.
