Brushless Gimbals (ronin M?)

I thought Id post this in the Cinematography forum.. because cinematography is about, amongst other things, motivated camera moves.

Im kind of thinking of getting a Ronin M and black magic micro.

Im thinking 90% I would use this dual operator.. I dont really see another way.

Im mainly not interested in handholding (no XYZ compensation.. and I can use the steadicam when the device is close to my body)

Im thinking to use it on a boom, and maybe remotely on vehicles including my rickshaw.

I can build stuff like booms and maybe an XYZ isolator.

If I used close to my body Id be looking to mount on my steadicam and dial down all the settings but horizon.. I could then do pan/tilt myself without that horrible gimbal lag.

Are there any example videos of dual operator in action where we see motivated camera moves and marks being hit?

Any other examples of using gimbals for doing anything but following the girlfriend/dog around the park?

Any comments on this specific gimbal

This video is quite interesting.. far from perfect but there are many shots where there was at least an idea.

Like approaching the mercedes and tracking it.. but the shot cuts with apparently a big bump or something!

The dji ronin is a very versatile item indeed. Cant go wrong with owning one if you already have a steadicam. Get those shots you've always dreamed of without owning the alien revolution.

If you think you'll use it enough to consider it worth it then go for it

Here's my favorite ronin video where its fun to guess how they did each scene (nailed it) and the second link is its behind the scenes so you can check it out.
