Wonder if any of you guys knew of any good shockmount replacements for any shotgun mic...the cheap plastic on mine broke at this last wedding i shot...i had to gaff tape it to the handle of my dvx...thank god for the gaff tape...but i would like to find a nice quality replacement...maybe metal or a better durable plastic..

Re: Broken Shockmount for ME66...HELP!

I have the Sennheiser MZSCAM which is mostly made out of metal
and looks quite durable (I use it for about a year now).
Check EVS Online, it should be around 60 bucks.

PSC makes a really good universal shock mount that I would recommend for that mic, and many others.

K-Tek makes a camera mount that can also be used (with an adapter kit) in the Sennheiser blimp. And, from what I've read, the Audio Technica uses the rubber gaskets from K-Tek.

Re: Broken Shockmount for ME66...HELP!

The PSC mount is a lower profile than the AT8415, which is better for camera mounting, and it can be mounted on a pole. You can get them at Coffey Sound, or Trew Audio, or Location Sound, or Gotham Sound. The KTek mount for cameras is very very nice, but only works on the camera, and you can't have it pull double duty and put it on the end of a pole. You would need a second mount for that.

The small one. The large one is too big. You wouldn't be able to use a foam windscreen with the large mount.
