Broken Octava mic

Hi, I have an Ocvtava MC012 that's served me well for a year and a half or so. Then suddenly in the middle of a shoot last week, it stopped working. It wasn't bumped or dropped or damaged. I heard some weird popping, and then it basically went dead. I can still pick up very very faint sound with it, but you practically have to yell into it to hear anything. Does anyone have any advice how it might be fixed?

Thanks,
- David

I'd call or email sound-room.com and see if they know (or can themselves) fix it, or, given the price point, just replace it. Don't forget the DV coupon code.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I emailed Sound-room, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.
Yes, I've tried different cables and different inputs on my DVX. Same problem.

Are you certain it's not the phantom power on your DVX that failed? (Have you tried other mics?) Mine crapped out when an internal fuse blew.

I bought it at Sound Room, and it's still under warranty so they're taking care of it.
Yes Sean, I've tried other mics and they work fine.
