BROKEN FS100 battery connection!!

So we're shooting with 2 FS100's and one (out of the 3) of the little bronze clips that connects the FS to its battery broke in half while taking the battery off!

What I'm talking about are the 3 golden colored connectors that are visible in the back of the FS when you take the battery off. They are what connect the FS to the battery.

The one that broke off, or broke in half rather, was the first one from top to bottom. A bit of it still sticks out so we think it still makes the connection.

Now, it's starting up, but I'm worried that it's not charging...

I have it connected right now and I'm waiting to see if it charges up completely again.

Is this little clip gonna screw us over?! Or is it a ground or something that's not completely neccesary?

PLEASE HELP!!

All the connections are nessisary. If it boots up, all are connecting. But I'd contact Focus ASAP and see about getting it fixed. Seriously, you should be calling Focus right now about it.

I ordered Fs-100 last summer and it was to big wait so i went with p2 card instead. But I read that alot of the wait of Fs-100 was that they improved this battery conection. Maby you got one old with a poor connection.

It's BS if they left those on the market. People's careers are at stake. Let's see if they step up and solve their client's issues.

One unit out of thousands, don't see the logic behind this comment. One unit out of thousands of anything is a good track record. Let's not bash someone for something they haven't been told about yet.

Hey guys,
I'm super happy with the Firestore, but I also had this happen to me. but it was when I was cleaning the unit. it got stuck to the paper towel and bam!!!! it broke off. I send it to the Manufacturer, and they fixed it quickly. GDV if its still under warranty, just send it in. Unfortunately, their turn around is not so fast, but for this problem its faster than for others.
Good luck.
