Broken computer, can you help?

A friend of mines computer is going nuts....

Attached are two screen shots showing two of the errors that I get, I can't seem to get past these screens regardless of whether I put the installation OSX DVD in, hold down "C" or Option keys. All I can do is choose between booting from the DVD or HDD.

Any ideas??

What are the specs? Which model are we talking about here?

its a macbook pro. ill see if i can get more specs from the friend

Looks a bit like some kind of kernel panic. Maybe try this site…
