Broadcast Pix for live gaming tournament?

Hi guys,

I came across this forum on google and not sure if it's the best place to be asking this - but I decided to ask anyway.

So I am going to be running a live gaming tournament event at Tokyo Game Show this year.
Teams are 5 players who sit in a row at the desk in front of 5 PC monitors facing their opposition. There is also a live commentary booth.

I am a complete production noob so please help me! Here are my requirements:

- I'd like 10 lipstick cameras on the monitors to capture the players faces.
- 1 fixed camera that will be un-manned and will capture the live commentators.
- 1 hand-held camera that is easily mobile, do hd cameras come wireless these days? :D
- A video mixer that can accept the above inputs plus 2 more inputs that will be the PC game footage.

I was looking at Broadcast Pix slate products.. can't figure out if that would be sufficient for my requirements?

Budget plays a huge factor in this, so I was considering to only buy the mixer + lipstick cameras and then rent the broadcast cameras.
I'd like this all done in HD.

Please let me know some recommendations for the lipstick cameras and mixer and any other tips would be greatly appreciated!!

It sounds like your video switcher will be the most expensive thing on your list, so it might be a good idea to try and find a switcher/mixer that can do pretty close to what you'd like, then build the rest of the system from there. So, your idea to rent cameras is probably right on target.
