Britek replacement bulbs

I’m having trouble finding replacement bulbs for the Britek lights I bought from Rostronics.

I’ve visited the Rostronics site and could not find any way to order bulbs. I also had a hard time finding out how to contact them. there is no phone number listed and I had to search really hard to find an email. I sent them a message but no one bothered to answer.

Are they still in business?

I called Britek and they wanted $16/bulb plus $20 for shipping. I thought that was pretty high, maybe its not.

1. Where are people getting their reliable, high quality replacement bulbs?

2. Where can I get the fuses that go in the lights?

I own the Britek twin 600 (330watts x 2) which takes the R7S base and the Britek 200 spotlight which takes a single bulb with a double pin base G5.3/G6.35.

Would the GE or Sylvania bulbs I can get at Home Depot or Lowes work just as well, or will I have color temperature issue?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

If you can find another source for the bulbs for the G200, please let us know. As far as I can tell that's a proprietary globe that you can only get from Britek.

The 600 is a different story - it's either a DYS or DYH, check the silkscreened info on the bale of the instrument. Either way, be sure and get the Ushio brand globes, as there is an issue with premature burn-out caused by the shorter legs of Osram and other brands.

My preferred source for globes: www.bulbconnection.com
