Britek Focusing and stands

I'm considering the purchase of some Britek lights from Rostronics. But I have a couple questions hopefully some of you can answer.

1. How much can you focus these lights? Is it just a little bit or a lot. I've never worked with focusable lights except a flashlight. I'm looking at buying three G-300 lights at $84 each as well as the 24x24 softboxes for them.

2. As for the light stand does anyone have any infor on how much weight they can hold. Specifically the standard 7.5 foot trimax and the 8 foot heavy duty trimax.

3. These light stands do have the standard 5/8 inch stud on them right?

1) These are my only focusable lights, so I don't know how they compare to others, but I would say they just focus a little, IMO.

2 I don't know the specific weight, but my 8' holds my 300 with a softbox no problem.

3) Yes, standard stud.

They focus about what you would get with a Lowell DP or an arrilite 600, which is about the best that you can get with a non lensed spot. I have 2 of the Britek 600s with softboxes and love them, they are lighter and cooler than my 650 fresnels and with the softboxes produce some great light. The stands are standard 5/8 inch mounts. I don't know anything about the ones on Rostronics because I got some Bogan stackers from B&H.
