Brevis35 Run&Gun

Looks good. Do you have any screen grabs or footage straight off the cam? Is the glow from the adapter or something you added?
 
I added a slight warm filter for the alumni downloads, wanted it to look softer to the eye. This isn't to judge sharpness either because its run and gun and i had to rack focus and change camera iris settings on the fly. I shot this so my friends can have a little something to watch and laugh at. Lucky I can't play yet because everyone looked terrible, by halftime the score was only like 12-16. It was most embarrassing for them old folks!

which diffuser was this? Would i be right to guess its the one that loses the least amount of light, shapest image, but a hazzier bokeh?
 
P, Aram has CF1 in there which is the most light efficient in the line up. CF1, 2, and 3 are all very similar with respect to sharpness :-)

Dennis, I've just seen Phil Bloom's shootout. Was the sharpness issue a problem from his side, or is the Brevis not as sharp as the M2 and the Brit adaptor? Any solution? Are you coming out with an acromat that's sharper?

Just ordered my Brevis trough Dick, by the way :)
 
Phil was not using the Rev2 version we've been shipping since just before Christmas...although he has added the latest version as a second adapter :-)

These shots taken last night with the 72mm achromat, XH-A1, minolta 50mm f1.4 They are screen grabs from the 1080i MPEG file playing in VLC...other then the flip, they're untouched. They seem pretty sharp to me :-)

Dennis, thanks for the reassuring pictures. Can you post a before brevis, after brevis picture of the same shots? to show DOF and resolution? i believe this would be a myth buster for many concerns most potential buyers have...

Very impressed with the low light performance... :)
