I just received early today a bh's catalog , and i saw there the bevis 35 with flip module included is US$1.460 , and the letus extreme optmized for hvx with nikon mount is up to US$1460.

i found that i can use letus with a cavision rod...taht cost US$160
and could not find another rods to use with brevis unless the proteus , aht is too much expensive like the letus' is.

and i also readed that brevis e better with backfocus adjustments...

so

wich one the best choice..??
or there isn't a best choice...'cause each adapter is unique and is good in it's ways.?..

too much options...hehehe...

but i could not find a rod suport that is up to use with brevis...i know there is rod suports but could not have an ideia about price.

thanks again.

any kind of rails...??
even with the diference of the height with the brevis with flip mounted ?

and the brevis have issues with high shutter speed and frame rates like letus ?

I personally like the brevis because it's way more customizable and built in back focus. Dennis is always doing something to up the ante on the brevis where as the letus extreme has kind of peaked. Any support gear should work either systems but once again I find cinevate's support gear to be dynamite.

can i use brevis with this cavision suport?

tks ecking , i was reading about the proteus systen , and it is really awesome...but to start i won't have money to buy any other acessories in a while...but in the future i pretend to put money in a nice set up , follor focus , matte box , etc....

but to start only the adapter and couple used manual nikons... :)

thanks for feedback...

Yeah that cavision system would work no problem, you should just pick up a brevis to rails mount to put on it and you'd be all set.

The quick-release, tool-less Brevis to rails mount is made of CNC machined aluminum, and has a total of 12 parts comprising it. Given what it costs to produce, powder coat and then assemble them, they're actually pretty inexpensive at $133. Now if it was made of injection molded plastic, and we sold 10 000/year, it would be a lot cheaper. Because the part is responsible for holding the adapter and lens rock steady during focus racks, it must be designed to be rigid even with full cinema lenses, typical 70-200 f2.8 zooms, and at least once, a 500mm zoom lens out front. It has been redesigned at least five times based on customer feedback to arrive at its current form. With regard to the Proteus rails systems, current owners will be utterly thrilled with what we've come up with to increase the usefulness of their investment in a way no one could have predicted :)

Cheers,
Dennis.
