Brevis + HPX170 panning troubles

Here goes. I got an HPX170 recently and attached my Brevis. I noticed when panningleft to right and vice versa, the imaging element jerks backward. I even zoomed out and watched the edges of the element doing this.

Has anyone else had this happen? I may have never noticed it with my DVX but now I'm wondering if it did this even then. What causes this???

astigmatic. You were spot on. Funny thing is, I went through the list of things to check, thought to check the OIS, went to sleep, forgot it, and woke up in "panic mode" again.
