What camera? What Lens / Stop? 1080 or 720? Love the edge sharpness. Anyone have any luck with Brevis Flip and EX 1?

That sharpness is pretty stunning. Love the absence of grain.

Portraiture is my first love in photography going back about 22 years. These shots take me right back to what got me interested in 35mm lens adapters :-)

Tim, I didn't pay attention to the numbers on the camera but I think the zoom was wide open. 720pn at 30fps.
This was for a promo for a new show.

This is Dennis's new flip joint with an HVX and a big ass Zeiss zoom lens that Arrik brought with him. He can tell you which and all. I know there are some pretty big scratches on the front but they don't show up on the footage.

yeah, large scratches on a huge zoom like that probably won't affect the image that much, but htey will lower the overal sharpness by a smudge.

Beat,

Great grabs! - Wow - Very impressive. Seems like we've seen less portraiture-type footage out of these as opposed to landscape / object phototography on the forum. Refreshing to see these grabs.

Those shots were from the Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AF-S, as shown in the ridiculously front-heavy picture. Though I did bring Zeiss ZF primes but they werent used on the above shots. And I believe we were wide open at 2.8 full tele @200mm for the lower pic. Love that lens, pretty sharp all the way thru. Due to the front element scratches, I got it for $400. Beats paying 1k!

Nice Grabs.
B and h' price is $819.95 (Imported) and $914.95. YES you do gotta love this lens

Those prices are for the "D." I have the "S." Practically the same but the "S" is something like an inch or so longer and a pound or so heavier. Its MSRP was like $1400 or something like that but its not in production anymore. The used ones still sell up there in price. Unlike the D version, this lens can be used on a D40.

I would have definitely purchased the D version if I didnt find that deal.

Hey, we just ordered that lens today along with the 17-35mm f2.8. Seeing these grabs makes me want to mount that baby up right now! Aram, if you use that old Brevis-to-rails mount again I'll have to come down there and take it away. You need to go "snorkel" down and use the new rail gear we sent you!

:) Thanks.
I thought yesterday was the last hoorah for them rails but when I got home the new ones still didn't get here yet. They will be sent Monday fedex says. It got held up in the Bronx for a little.
