Brevis and Nikon

I ordered the Brevis for the HVX 200 (HD bundle and step down ring). I also ordered a Nikon lens at B&H. It's called:

Nikon NI5014
Normal 50mm f/1.4 AIS Manual Focus Lens

Is this a good lens to purchase?

I also bought an ND screw on filter (N9).

Will this be enough to get me started?

I will post footage as soon as I get everything!

Thanks.

make sure that lens isnt a digital camera lens. the AIS in the name may indicate that.

I believe AIS stands for "Auto Index Shutter" which is a feature you won't be using on an adapter :-) That lens should work just fine btw.

If you see a Nikon lens with a "DX" designation, you don't want it as these lenses (designed for a smaller digital frame) won't project a 24mmx36mm film frame.

Except for the 10.5mm fisheye, all Nikon primes will cover a full 35mm frame. The main advantage to AIS lenses is that the focus ring feels better than the one on AF lenses.
