Brevis and FX1

I just got this camera for a show we shoot so I'm trying to get used to it. I threw the Brevis on and went to the park with my daughter and her friend. I didn't have it tuned in all the way and think I need a small spacer but I put this up anyways.
The FX1 seems to blow out a lot faster than the HVX but it still looks nice. The work flow is the biggest pain in the ass, I shot this last week some time and it took this long to get it into an NLE and edit. I had to convert the footage like 3 times to get Avid to read it. Probably lost some rez doing that but the footage still looks good.

looks cool.. just FYI.. when you add flash frames in post, dont have them go over the black bars.. they should be black the entire time..
 
I know, I was lazy. :) I didn't cut up the footage like i usually do either because it was such a pain to get the HDV thing working.

I think the Brevis surpasses the others~ still saving up the pennies to get one for my HVX

You have it on rails anything like that?
 
No, not for that, it was a quick run to the park to get to know the camera with the Brevis. Hope to get some more this weekend with both the FX1 and HVX.
 
Its hard to get the Sony to focus on the GG all the way. I just tried a spacer and its still slightly past the focus limit. Oh well, I'm taking it to the Hamptons anyway for some fishing.
