Breaking Bad

Is anyone else a little crushed over Gomez? I really enjoyed him as a supporting character, and to see him in one shot, already dead... I was disappointed. He and Hank were so close. I hate cheesy "last words as I'm dying" bits as much as the next guy, but I thought Gomez deserved a little better send off.

I liked the fact that they didn't show some of these moments.

Skylar telling Walt Jr.

Jesse Getting tortured

But yeah, To just have Gomez dead off the bat without them killing one neo nazi sucks.

I guess it just shows how bad ass these guys are, or how under prepared Hank was.

This is what can happen when you go rogue, I guess, no back up coming

This show is the total package. Man. What compelling, well-made, acted, written, directed... just everything. So hoping for a good close to the show. I've loved this 2nd half of the season in how nearly every episode would just ratchet the tension up to a breaking point, and then slam on the bakes and take you in a whole new direction in the next episode and ratchet up the tension and suspense even further...

My only moment from last nights show that shook me a bit was the chain loosely around and low on Jesse's hips. I mean... at least put it up high and tight around his abdomen, where it isn't already below the widest part of his hips. Especially, since he indicated pain in his ribs, it could have made a nice little, salt-rubbing after-moment to the torture it was evident he had gone through prior to bringing us into the scene. If not that, at least shackle an ankle and hook him up that way :)

Just like The Wire, this show doesn't glorify anyones death. It would take me out of the show if that happens. Anyone can go, at any time.

Want to also give props to Rian Johnson. I wasn't crazy about some of his work on his first episode (the one with the fly in the meth lab). Felt it had too much showy camera work out of character with the show. But he knocked this episode out of the park. Phenomenal directing.

True, but, I think that's also why Todd put that photo of Brock and his mom where he did, as a warning to not even think of escaping.

Man, just saw these posted elsewhere. I love this show.

Although I wasn't specifically referring to this shot, I was telling my wife about the similarity to Gus's back story, where he seemed like he wasn't too much of a badass in those days, but became one after his hand got forced due to some serious personal drama.

What an outstanding episode...what an outstanding show.

*spoilers (ahhhhh, if you haven't seen the show by now you're a moron. yeah I said it, dude who stumbled on this thread in 2014)

Maybe I'm missing your point but there have been been some pretty spectacular, "glorious" death scenes through the years.
hank's various shoot outs, Gus getting half his face blown off, Walt running a dude over, ect.

Knowing that its just fictional, I've cheered many times as "the bad guys" met their demise. If breaking bad hasn't glorified death, I don't know what has.

It truly hit me last night that next week is the last episode ever.

That's such a bummer.

That said I LOVE that they got grey matter back into this, and that Andrea got it

Man, Can't wait to see where this goes, or should I say ends.

I cannot believe, for the life of me, how Bryan Cranston did not get that Emmy last night. I am a big Jeff Daniels fan. Count me among the fans of Newsroom. It's not perfect, but I like it and I like Jeff Daniels in it. But the distance that he has to travel to play Will is NO WHERE NEAR the distance that Cranston has traveled to play Walt. Sorry. Sometimes it's about the part and the challenges therein and what Cranston has done is some of the best freaking acting I've ever seen. EVER

Congrats to Anna Gunn and the show for getting best drama. Gilligan deserved that one. But Cranston... HUGE MISS. I don't know how the heck, or in what possible world, that happened.

He'll get one next year. The last 8 episodes are eligible for 2014. If he doesn't get one then, it's a total crime. I have to say though, that was the strongest field of contenders I've ever seen. Jeff was probably the least deserving of the bunch.

It was a particularly strong field. Spacey is awesome in House of Cards - Damian Lewis, Jon Hamm... yep a pretty good bunch there. I just think that the breath of what Cranston achieves on BB is just spectacular - cold and strong as steel and then the father on the other end of that phone call last night. COME ON! Anyway, I hope you're right. I didn't know that he'd be eligible next year so I'll try not to act out ;)

He deserved an award for playing Hal - Malcolm In the Middle's father as well. Imagine him cooking meth with this family, everyone would be on board.

+1 well said.

I am a bit confused by the role/duties of the Robert forester character. A monthly drive from Arizona to New Hampshire? Does he have numerous clients all over the country? Couldn't he hire an assistant/s to make deliveries? Who runs his vacuum cleaner business in his abscence? This will keep me up at night!

edit: I mean New Mexico. Some fan I turned out to be.

Scott... get some rest, I don't think he's too worried about the vacuum business with the amount of cash he's taking in...and the extra 10K for an hour playing cards!
Remember, he said to Walt he doesn't usually do this kind of thing for his clients, but...welll... "You're YOU". I LOVED that, what a great line. Great show.
