Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad formula the exact same one as X files:

"Gilligan says each episode is organised in the same way, a discipline he learned from working with Carter. "If you look closely at Breaking Bad and any given episode of The X Files, you will realise the structure is exactly the same. The cold opening, the three- to five-minute teaser, will be followed by four acts of the story. That's the structure I took lock, stock and barrel from The X Files."

Got to hang with Dean Norris a fair bit this summer. He's one of the few actors I've met who really isn't like any of his characters, which tells you something.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS!

I can't wait to see what happens next episode! I love how Walt seems so calm and cool in certain situations, usually in front of people, and then resorts to his old manic/panicked ways when he's alone. Like when he got back to his car after confronting Hank. So good!

I saw him on Charlie Rose and it struck me how different he came off. His arc on this show has been amazing. I dismissed him in the early episodes as just comic relief, the obnoxious brother in law, but the writers developed him into something way more.

Yeah. the character development has been amazing across the board, but Aaron Paul and Dean Norris have taken the cake for me.

Both seemed so one dimensional at first and have taken crazy/different paths littered with adversity, most of which can be traced back to Walt.

Can not wait to see what happens.

Also, what's up with them not showing anything from next week's episode? No teaser makes me sad.

What I love about the show, is that every action is part of the history and fabric of the characters lives. They react realistically and reflect on things that have happened in the past. Some shows have characters act as if some traumatic things never happened because it was in a different episode. This is the testament to good writing. I will miss this show when it ends. But that's also what I like... it has an ending.

They're trying to bait us into watching LOW WINTER SUN to see the teasers. Which I did the first time, but then realized they switch the commercials out in Canada so I got nada. Watched them online later.

They got me to watch low winter sun last week. Almost fell for it again this week, but I went and did other things for most of the hour until talking bad came out.

Thank you for linking to the teaser! Looks like another good'un coming up

Fairly awesome as always but 2 things:

-last season was so full of razzle-dazzle (train robberies, magnets bitches, ect). I don't know how much more of this slow burn I can take. Yes, I got it, the acting is wonderful, but I'm ready for some action.

-the dialogue was almost indecipherable in many instances. I'll chalk it up to a lifetime of drumming and loud edit suites, but I can't hear anything when they are having conversations in whispered tones. I guess it's because one can't yell out "hey we're under suspicion for cooking & selling meth" but I had to rewind several scenes to get the gist of it.

Ps: I like "talking bad" and def check out the podcast if u haven't already.

So I type 54°59'21" N, 06°36'52" W into google earth and it turns out Walter drove to Ireland. He wound up just outside a little hamlet called....

The writing is spectacular on this show. I think where they exceed anything else on TV is how they write the silences. For instance, in the beginning when the guy goes up to Jesse on the carousel. He says nothing! Thank you! Or Skylar's silence at the table with Hank. Loaded! I also remember the scene with Marie, before the baby stuff... just the looks, very few words. Skylar never had to admit it. They let the silence speak. It's brave TV and just ridiculous kick-ass acting!

It goes to what bgunda said about them reacting to things that have happened already. Things we all know. The fact that we know what they're thinking in these silences shows the depth of how well developed and ingrained in us, these characters are.

I can't wait to see what happens.
