Breakfast Fuel

It's as much psychology as nutrition - "hey, nice breakfast" is as important as vitamins or protein content.

A choice is good, both for those who are vegetarian or have allergies, and for those who get bored easily. And the menu better not be exactly the same as yesterday's menu.

Yesterday's leftover pizza is never acceptable, even if it hasn't been lying on the floor all night...

Best thing to do is get someone with a little camping stove, eggs, tortillas, and a bunch of different ingredients. This way you can make omlettes, breakfast burritos, just straight scrambled eggs, or a number of other things with the ingredients of their choosing. Then on top of that you can provide fresh fruit, cereal, and other sort of normal breakfast stuff. You could also have some pancake mix on hand and make those as well for people.

This is just what they seem to do on all the bigger shows, so this seems like pretty much what they do. It's really not that expensive or difficult either, you just need someone who is able/willing.

I like to serve light foods like Granola, oatmeal and fruit. Toast, Bagels things that arn't really heavy you can juice them up with bullshit later.
If you have to do eggs or meat try to do Turkey Sausage and egg whites.

I know its only food, but I've found that healthier options are a better way to go. Good In--->Good Out

It really depends. I have two approaches.
- Firstly, I like to ask what they like, and give them choices based on that. Also keep in mind what they're allergic to and such. Even caring subtly can be felt, and having happy crews are most important!
- Secondly, depending on what roles they play, I might tell them I'll feed them like the character would have ate. It's these details that really brings out the character. Simply because you're putting the actor in the psychological state of the character. Though that doesn't mean you starve the actor if he plays a poor man!

Lots of coffee. If you don't have coffee, good luck on the shoot that day. Happened on too many shoots...no coffee...people was stumped and slow to move. Pretty funny.

Actually, it doesn't really matter what you feed them for breakfast if all you fed them was crap all day the day before.
