Dear all:
I just purchased The "Editors Bundle" from Red Giant Software. It comes with the following software:
1- Magic Bullet Editors
2- Magic Bullet Colorista
3- Knoll light Factory
4- Instant HD.
I bought this bundle a bit by mistake, since I didn't saw the bundle without Knoll Light, which I don't need ( but, then again, it might come in handy somehow.)
My main interest in this bundle is both Magic Bullets- Colorista sounds just like what I need for some selective highlight and color correcting (possibility of using masks). Anyone whith experience on this? Have been in a couple of Da Vinci color correction sessions and have seen the usefullness of the system. Any suggestions?
Specific questions
1-Should I use colorista in Motion, or is FCP enough? Any significant gain? (footage shot in DVCPRO HD 1080i 25p- Edited in DVCPRO HD 1080i 25p)
2- I've got underexposed clips, with some noise. Any situation Colorista or Magic Bullet Might Help?
3- I've actually done some coloring in camera by changing scene files. Is Magic Bullet Editors controlable in order to fit well on already stilized footage?
Please share your Magic Bullet experience to this newbie on the software (I actually am quite fond of FCP's 3 way, but need something "more" and less time consuming.)
Cheers all,
