Bottlenecks

Sorry, rebeat here. I just made a test between DVCProHd vs. Canopus HQ, both 72050p and to my eye DVCPro is a clear winner. It seems to be sharper.

Interesting, especially since DVCPRO HD is 1280x1080i, whereas Canopus HQ supports 1280x1080i, 1440x1080i and 1920x1080i

But THoff is right - DVCPRO HD should be editable on a laptop - it's only 100 Mbps.

Hi Just repeated the test. The clips were shot this time in good light (previous was in foggy evening dim) and the difference was smaller but still visible. On both codecs there were "disk too slow"-marks if setting >>> "stop playback..." was on. Anyhow canobus seemed to run better in general. In task manager the prosessor load always went to 100 % then interrubtion occured. So it seem in my PC that it might not be worth to take the extra time and convert to canobus because the difference was so little and quality sufferd a little also.
