Thought to start a topic thats interest me.
No matter how good cam you have its never better than the weakest chain in the workflow.
example: Even if you have a 1920*1080 sensor if the encoder only allow 640*480 with 3:1:1 color sampling. You have a very destructive workflow.
But if we take the Silicon for example it has a very non destructive workflow.
1 CMOS to CineForm RAW keeps most of the information.
So it would be nice to messure cams after how it handles the sensor capture to the encoding process.
Any ideas?
