Boss wants power point

Searched for a thread on this but didn't find anything. I'm making a training video for work and my boss wants me to use some already-made power point stuff in the video. Is this possible? I tried to figure it out, to see if I could just import it in like a picture or something. Actually, now that I think about it, should I just see if I can save the power point slide as an image, then import it? Or is there a better way?

Thanks
Nathan

You can save the slides out as Images if you want... the best way is to make it a PDF and then save the images out though (images are larger and clearer that way) also I think Macromedia Breeze (for PowerPoint) make the presentation into a flash file... you maybe able to use that and import the flash file...

I do both of these a lot for one of the places I do contract work for...

id tell your boss that powerpoint bites butt, and that you should redo it in AE or at livetype or whatever.. anythings better. you could spread butter on a peice of broccoli and throw it at the screen and it would be more engaging than powerpoint imho.

Many of my clients give me PowerPoint presentations that they want converted to a video. I use the PowerPoint to write the script (narration mostly), then shoot video to cover the narration.

The PowerPoint is just information -- the same as if he gave you a list written on a napkin. If you want to make an interested video that people actually learn from, you have to go beyond their presentation. Try to show as little text as possible on the screen.

Also, if they use this presentation for existing training, tape it -- but for the love of baby Jesus don't use any of this in your final video -- it's only to help you write the script.

Ouch, my throat still hurts from the sandwich I choked on while reading this comment. Laughed out loud, went to breath in forgetting what was in my mouth - GAG! It was worth it though, thanks for that laugh!
