Pain in the ass
I didn't love this HBO series at first, but it's grown on me. Mainly due to Ted Dansen's amazing performance. The man brings all his years of comedy chops to the table.

It's worth a look

Also, kudos for being set in my neighborhood, as well as many of my old haunts, like Old Town.

Maybe it's more fun to watch because of that. We might start a drinking game. Like the law & order drinking game my friend Colin had:

One shot if you spot your neighborhood.
Two shots if they are in front of your building.

Also, lots of Brooklynites abound, including Jim Jarmusch and John Hodgeman (who frequents my pool team bar Dram Shop)

Bump. Available on Netflix and I recommend it.

I didn't know what this show might be all about. I was afraid it was going to be too smug, pretentious & arty based off the promos I saw. Turns out I was dead wrong. Very enjoyable characters and great cameos. Hilarious low-brow sex humor.
I see a lot of reviews along the lines of, "It's slow at first…." But I liked it from the get-go.

My wife snapped this from our second floor window. In this scene, Zak Galifinakis runs down our stoop, naked and covered in bubbles, and almost gets hit by a school bus.

The camera's down the street to the left on a dolly. Ari Alexa BTW.

One of my friends works on that show. Well, he works for Dakota Pictures, who produce the show. Not really sure if he works on set or not. I've only caught a few episodes, but it was pretty good. Big fan of Dansen and Schwartzman
