Bootcamp Brainstorms

After bootcamp, i brainstormed with the guys (Jarred, Barry, Evin, and Noah), working to refine it to make it the best they can. We had some really good ideas, that i intend on sharing with all as soon as we talk a little more about them. So if anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated!! (O.K.,... some ideas are~ start earlier, take a couple more short breaks, and there is breakfast too (so people should come a few minutes earlier if they want to grab some food first:)

Might be asking a bit too much but may be the seating can be padded and spaced a bit apart more. Sitting for 8 to 9 hours can get uncomfortable in no time. Also raising the plasma screen for folks in the back to see. Jarrod did the right thing by repeating questions that were asked in the front so the folks in back can hear before the plasma was utilized. A power point presentation makes sense in certain situations. Literature is not totally necessary because everything will be in Barry's book. Make sure that you guys are always mic-ed wirelessly for free movement and coherency once again for the folks in the back. I like the guess speaker concept (i.e., Marc Singer) of bringing in someone already in the field to explain workflow concepts. A little accessory table wouldn't hurt (matte boxes, drives, filters, remote zooms, eye pieces, tripods, lcd panels, etc..) And last but not least, how about a few beers afterwards (on us) with you guys who we New Yorkers don't get to see often. Then we can vibe about projects and so forth.

P.S. A transfer house engineer such as Marcus Van Bavel explaining settings for a transfer would be good; even if it is on a video. I know he cannot always take time for a bootcamp. Thanks.
