Boosting levels

How would I go about boosting black levels in Vegas?
and what is the best way to reduce the blue hue from a bad white balance?
I'm guessing with color correction, but I'm not sure what controls to use (low,mid,hight). I don't have much experience with this yet, Just trying to get a good head start from the people in the know.

As far as boosting the black levels, I use a color curves adjustment and give it an "s" curve. That boosts the contrast and you can tweek it to your liking.


To get rid of too much blue, I use this plugin:

You can isolate any color and adjust the saturation. Easy as hell and free!
