Boom Pole Problem

I wouldn't send the pole back... I didn't want to say this because you really need to be "handy" to do things like this... but a "back-out" bit will work also... but it will chew up the stud that's stuck in there.

If you go to a hardware store they will know what it is... for simplicity's sake tell them a bolt head snapped off and you need to extract the stud... come to think of it I think the bit is actually called a "screw extractor"... It is reverse twisted and it digs into the end of the stud in reverse... this is what makes it work... the drill works in reverse... twisting the bit forward... but backing out the stud.

Somebody mechanically challenged could F up a pole like this though... but it should be pretty easy.

If you didn't get the stud today you should have it by tomorrow.
