Sorry if this has been addressed.
I'm going to be booming a show tomorrow and I'm just assuring that I know the protocol. I'm pretty sure I do, but let me know if I'm missing anything..
Watch blocking, figure out the best place to be placed.
Wait for rehearsal, then, once director approves frame, get a frame line. Then practice during rehearsal. Relay speed from the mixer if they aren't in the same room, after AD calls roll sound. Relay good for sound after the take, from the mixer.
Thanks a lot. I've boomed a lot of shows, however they've been student films and no/low budget films. This one is pretty legit and I just don't want to be blind sided.
