Hey... what do you guys think of this deal? Seems like a lot of people like this combo. Feedback looks ok... here

Hate to pester with little threads like this, just want to check with you before I make this purchase.

I don't have my 100B yet.

Holy crap... I could've sworn I was at B&H and noticed a 400ish price for just the legs... Probably my error.

Well sweet, if it's at B&H, I'll definitely be getting it there. Any additional opinions?

I have this combo and I'm pretty happy. But I recently tried a sachler (much more expensive) head and was amazed at how much smoother it was. One day in the future I'll upgrade. Also, this tripod is not light. I don't find it heavy, but there are some tripods out there that weight a lot less. But you pay more for the lighter material. Overall, if you're on a budget this is a good deal.

price sounds about right, i picked this up at calumet in SF. 500 plus tax, came with a nice manfrotto bag, the one in the picture obviously. Its not light, but it isnt too heavy that i cant do some climbing and running with it. I like it alot, very sturdy and the head is nice as well.

Great replies. Thanks fellas.

Sounds like this is a great better-than-entry-level setup.

We use Davis & Sanford from B&H and they work great and about half the price. We have one $1000 + oldie from the film guys and it's not only a pain to lug around but it doesn't work any better than the one I mentioned.

Could you let me know the exact legs/head you have?
