Bogen 3066 head for DVX?

I am looking at a used Bogen 3066 head, and I was wondering if this head is too large to use effectively with a DVX100. I have seen a few not so positive comments about using fairly large heads with light cameras, but nothing too specific about the 3066. Assuming I don't mind lugging it around, do you feel it would perform well with a DVX compared to the Bogen 503 (which seems to be the preferred model based on board comments). I would also hope to be able to attach a jib or crane at some point, and I assume that the Bogen 3066 would be a bit more robust in this situation. I would probably be using Bogen 3051 sticks in case that matters.

Thanks in advance for your insight.

I previously used a Bogen 3066 with a Canon GL1 with great results. The head is adjustable, of course, so you can compensate for a camera's light weight. I found the head to produce exceptionally silky smooth pans both horizonally and vertically. It was a pleasure to use. I wish I still had it today to use with my DVC 80.
